Northern Lights Resort & Spa is an award-winning luxury boutique resort located just outside Whitehorse, Yukon. We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team for the upcoming winter season.
Position: Seasonal Chef
Start Date: August 10
Season: August to mid-April
About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner services for our guests, following a preset seasonal menu designed to deliver a high-quality dining experience in our small luxury resort.
Our resort hosts a limited number of guests, allowing the kitchen team to focus on quality, presentation, and consistency.
Schedule
5–6 days per week
Full-time seasonal position
Responsibilities
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for resort guests
Follow and execute the preset seasonal menu
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
Assist with kitchen organization and inventory management
Work collaboratively with the resort team to ensure a smooth guest experience
Requirements
Previous professional kitchen and chef experience required
Ability to work independently and manage daily kitchen operations
Strong attention to detail and food quality
Baking experience is a major asset (homemade bread, pastries, cakes)
Long-term commitment would be preferred
Compensation
$27 – $40 per hour, depending on experience
Up to 20% gratuities
