Line Cook – Bistro on Bennett
Bistro on Bennett is a locally owned, well-loved seasonal restaurant located in the heart of Carcross, Yukon. We serve a high volume of visitors and locals with a focus on fresh, high-quality meals and warm, welcoming service.
We are looking for a Line Cook/Expo to join our back-of-house team and help deliver efficient, consistent, and high-quality food service throughout the busy summer season.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to standard, ensuring quality and consistency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and FoodSafe-compliant workstation
- Assist with prep, portioning, and kitchen setup/closing tasks
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and front of house teams during busy service
- Support overall kitchen flow in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or food service environment
- Ability to follow direction and work efficiently under pressure
- FoodSafe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- EXPO experience is an asset
Position Details
- Full-time, seasonal position
- Subsidized accommodations available at our other location, Six Mile River Resort (Tagish) or mileage compensation available if commuting
