Overview
The Chief Archivist will serve to maintain, coordinate, and promote record-keeping within ASUS. Record keeping remains one of the most difficult challenges ASUS faces as an organization. With initiatives involving hundreds of students and yearly turnover across all positions, it is easy for documents to get lost in the day-to-day bustle of the office. With this challenge in mind, the Chief Archivist will work closely with the Governance Officer to ensure that appropriate record-keeping policy exists and that it is being fully executed. Additionally, the Chief Archivist may take on the responsibility should they choose, of finding creative ways to display archival material and ASUS’ history to the student body as a whole.

Time Commitment and Remuneration
Term : May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026
Hours : 4-6 hours per week
Honorarium : Awarded based on the Honorarium Grid in the Human Resources Policy ( Click here )

Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure ASUS is keeping appropriate records surrounding its operations
- Helping determine the best way to keep all archived material both physically and digitally
- Working with ASUS policy to ensure the best possible record keeping system is mandated
- When possible finding ways to display ASUS archival material to students
- Explore recovering ASUS related archival material currently held outside the society
