In this hybrid marketing and customer support role, you will shape the brand’s digital presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube while building meaningful relationships with an engaged community. You will create compelling short-form content, communicate product benefits, and turn complex information about reef-safer products into accessible, engaging stories. Beyond content creation, you will serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, helping resolve questions and strengthen brand loyalty. Accountabilities: As the Social Media Marketing & Community Support Specialist, you will manage day-to-day social media activities, create engaging content, support customers, and help grow a community centered on ocean-friendly living. Your responsibilities will include: - Plan, schedule, and publish a consistent weekly social media calendar aligned with marketing campaigns, product launches, and ocean conservation awareness dates. - Create engaging, conversion-focused short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, showcasing product benefits, reef-safer science, dive-trip essentials, and sustainable lifestyle tips. - Collaborate with brand ambassadors, influencers, and nonprofit partners to promote user-generated content and coordinated ocean advocacy campaigns. - Monitor social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, and click-through rates, and provide actionable recommendations to improve content and campaign effectiveness.

- Serve as a friendly and responsive point of contact across social media channels, answering comments, direct messages, mentions, and reviews. - Respond to customer inquiries about product application, mineral sunscreen use, skin tone blending, shipping, order assistance, and ingredient transparency. - Participate in conversations related to ocean conservation, diving, water sports, and eco-conscious lifestyles to increase brand awareness and community engagement. - Escalate complex customer issues to the relevant support or e-commerce teams and follow through to help ensure effective resolution. - Communicate the science behind reef-safer products and explain the differences between mineral and traditional chemical UV filters in clear, approachable language. - Support brand giveaways, ambassador challenges, and event-related content, including coverage of diving expos, eco-festivals, and other relevant activities. - Maintain a consistent brand voice and ensure that social content and customer interactions reflect the organization's sustainability mission and values. Requirements: The ideal candidate combines practical social media management experience with strong content creation, customer service, and community-building skills. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment, communicating complex product information clearly, and engaging with customers in a thoughtful, solutions-oriented manner. Key qualifications include: - At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing organic social media channels and/or digital customer support, preferably for a direct-to-consumer e-commerce or eco-lifestyle brand. - Experience managing social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
