Legislative Director of Security in Ontario
Legislative Assembly of Ontario
Lead security operations within the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as the Executive Director of Legislative Protection. This senior role is vital for ensuring safety and effective legislative processes in Toronto. As a non-partisan leader in a senior permanent officer position, you will oversee the Sergeant-at-Arms Division. Your responsibilities include directing security operations, setting strategic direction, and fulfilling ceremonial duties in the Legislative Chamber. You will work collaboratively with a team to maintain a secure environment and support Ontario's legislative framework. Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety and security in the Legislative Chamber
• Direct the Legislative Protective Service operations
• Set strategic direction for planning and policy
• Lead ceremonial Speaker’s Procession
• Advise Clerk and Speaker on security issues Requirements:
• 10+ years of progressive law enforcement experience
• Advanced public safety and law enforcement knowledge
• Demonstrated leadership in event planning
• Strong communication skills for political contexts
• Proven abilities in human resource management Drive safety and security as a key leader within Ontario's Legislative Assembly.
