Step into a pivotal role leading the commissioning of a hydrometallurgical refinery in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario. Your expertise will drive operational readiness and stabilize cobalt sulfate production for battery applications. Our client seeks a senior hydrometallurgical leader with extensive experience in commissioning complex processing facilities. You will guide the transition from construction to stable commercial production, focusing on optimizing solvent extraction and crystallization circuits. Ideal candidates are hands-on, data-driven, and possess strong troubleshooting instincts. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead construction transition through commissioning phases
• Establish a zero-harm safety culture across operations
• Optimize leach, SX, and crystallization processes
• Resolve operational issues within SX and crystallization systems
• Ensure consistent production of battery-grade cobalt sulfate Requirements:
• Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
• 15+ years in hydrometallurgical processing
• Proven leadership in commissioning and start-up
• Experience with cobalt or copper systems
• Strong decision-making and process control skills Become instrumental in shaping North America's cobalt sulfate refinery operations and drive sustainable commercial success.
