Staffmax is assisting our client, GTA Compressor Solutions. They help manufacturers, industrial facilities, and commercial businesses keep their operations running through industry-leading compressed air systems, preventative maintenance, emergency service, rentals, equipment sales, and turnkey compressed air solutions.
As the company continues to grow across, we’re looking for a Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist to help attract exceptional people while supporting the continued development of our team, culture, and workplace.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Talent Acquisition
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for skilled trades, technical, operations, sales, and office positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective hiring strategies.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
- Create engaging job postings that attract top talent.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.
- Strengthen GTA Compressor Solutions’ employer brand within the industrial and skilled trades market.
Human Resources
- Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation.
- Maintain employee files and HR documentation.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and company culture.
- Assist with training coordination and employee development.
- Help ensure compliance with Ontario employment legislation and company policies.
- Support managers with day-to-day HR administration and employee matters.
- Recommend improvements to HR processes as the organization continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred .
- CHRP designation (or working toward one) is considered an asset .
- 1-2 years experience in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or a related role.
- Experience recruiting within skilled trades, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or technical industries is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
