Job Description

CIMA+ is looking for a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our team specializing in active and passive network infrastructures (outdoor networks, FTTH). You will play a strategic role in the planning, design and coordination of telecommunications projects. As a technical reference and project manager, you will actively contribute to the evolution of digital infrastructures, while ensuring the technical quality and performance of the solutions proposed. This position is for a professional with a solid understanding of telecommunications networks, combined with proven experience in managing multidisciplinary projects, all within a structured, collaborative framework. The work is carried out in hybrid mode, with a flexible home office among our sites in Quebec.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure the technical design and production of plans and specifications for telecommunications projects, mainly in infrastructure architecture and outdoor networks (fiber optics, FTTH, backbone).
• Supervise engineering deliverables in collaboration with in-house teams (engineers, technicians, draftsmen)
• Participate in drawing up tender documents and analyzing proposals
• Contribute to strategic planning and project management: coordination of stakeholders, adherence to budgets and schedules
• Write technical and analytical reports, and participate in the development of innovative technological solutions
• Coach and support technical resources in their professional development
• Collaborate actively with customers, partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications or related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in telecommunications engineering
• Experience in large-scale deployment projects an asset
• In-depth knowledge of active networks such as telecommunications equipment, and external telecommunications networks (fiber optics, FTTH, backbone)
• Proven experience in technical project management
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• Excellent communication skills, in both French and English: bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position, as it enables effective collaboration with our various stakeholders
• Proficiency in design tools and specialized software (AutoCAD, GIS, etc.) - an asset
• PMP certification - an asset
