Business Development Representative (BDR) (Bilingual French/English)

SSI SCHAEFER is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help drive business growth across Canada. This role is ideal for a motivated Business Development, Sales Development, Lead Generation, or B2B Sales professional interested in technology, automation, and building long-term customer relationships.
What You'll Do:
Generate new business opportunities across Canada through proactive prospecting, including cold calling, cold email, LinkedIn, networking, and other outbound sales strategies.
Research, identify, and qualify prospects by engaging decision-makers, understanding business needs in intralogistics, material handling, and warehouse automation.
Build trusted customer relationships by introducing SSI SCHAEFER's automation solutions and how our technology can support our customers.
Develop and manage the sales pipeline by creating lead generation strategies, identifying prospects, and transitioning qualified opportunities to the sales team.
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity, including prospect information, lead status, pipeline activity, and prospecting reports.
Collaborate with the sales team on customer and prospect visits.
All other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Professional proficiency in English is required because the position involves regular communication with English-speaking clients/customers/suppliers/colleagues located outside Quebec and/or the review, preparation, or delivery of information and documentation in English.
2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales Development, Lead Generation, B2B Sales, Inside Sales, or a related role.
Proven experience with outbound prospecting, cold calling, cold email, and lead qualification.
Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
