A leading global consultancy is seeking an experienced Head of Planning to lead planning and programme controls activities across a major rail stations infrastructure programme in Toronto. This prospect is ideal for senior planning professionals based in the Greater Toronto Area with extensive experience delivering complex rail, station, transportation or major infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will oversee planning strategy and programme delivery across large-scale commuter rail and urban transit station expansion works, working closely with integrated delivery teams, contractors and senior stakeholders on high-profile infrastructure initiatives shaping the future of mobility in Ontario. Key Responsibilities

Lead all planning and scheduling activities across a major rail stations programme Develop and oversee integrated master schedules across multiple project workstreams Provide strategic planning leadership to project teams, contractors and programme stakeholders Drive programme governance, reporting, risk analysis and critical path management activities Ensure alignment between delivery schedules, construction sequencing and operational constraints Monitor project performance, productivity and progress to support successful programme delivery Lead planning reviews, recovery planning and scenario analysis where required Ensure safety, quality, sustainability and carbon reduction objectives are embedded within programme planning processes Mentor and manage planning teams while promoting best practice programme controls methodologies Contribute to commercial and operational performance through accurate forecasting and schedule management Requirements

Extensive experience leading planning functions on major rail, station, transit or infrastructure programmes Advanced Primavera P6 and programme controls capability Proven experience managing complex integrated schedules across multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects Strong leadership experience managing planning teams and coordinating senior stakeholders Experience within collaborative project delivery environments involving clients, contractors and consultants Strong understanding of rail station delivery, transportation infrastructure or heavy civil construction programmes preferred Professional accreditation or membership with recognised industry bodies (APM, PMI, CIOB or equivalent) considered an asset What’s Offered
