Head of CET Design & Product Integration (For Commercial Space Planning) (Toronto)

POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Head of CET Design & Product Integration, you will be the central force connecting our CET Developers, Space Planning, Engineering, and Marketing teams. You will ensure our CET Extension is accurate, intuitive, visually compelling, and aligned with both our product offering and design philosophy. This role combines CET expertise, leadership, training, testing, communication, and project coordination giving you the opportunity to shape the digital experience of our products from concept to customer.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

CET Extension Full Cycle Development & Support

• Collaborate closely with the CET Development team to test, troubleshoot, and improve the CET Extension.
• Lead feature testing, bug reporting, and feedback for our CET Extension.
• Work with Engineering to take prepared models from SolidWorks into CET Designer.
• Work with Engineering to take prepared models from SolidWorks into other 3D CAD tools including Revit.
• Organize Icons and Tooltips within CET interface.
• Update and maintain color schemes with CET Interface.

Internal Team Leadership & Training

• Mentor, train and upskill the internal Space Planning team on CET Designer workflows, tools, and best practices.
• Support the team with design problem-solving, standards creation, and day-to-day CET questions.
• Stay up to date on the latest technology enhancements & features available in CET and provide training to the team as needed.

Space Planning Leadership

• Assist in setting standards, processes, and best practices within the space planning team.
• Assist with Space Planning requests through developing furniture layouts, floor plans, and workplace solutions within CET that align with client goals and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Sales and Project Management to provide design solutions that meet client needs and project constraints.
• Mentor and train space planners on both CET Designer workflows and general space planning principles.
• Develop scalable templates, standards, and workflows to streamline project delivery.

Design, Visualization & Marketing Collaboration

• Create inspiring, high-impact CET layouts, renderings, and scenes for marketing, product launches, and customer-facing materials.
• Collaborate with Marketing to elevate brand presence through CET-based digital storytelling.
• Maintain a consistent visual language across all CET-related deliverables.
• Design and lead CET webinars to the dealer and A&D community.
• Create inspiring, high-impact typicals for use within our website typicals library and CET Designer.
• Assist in testing and maintaining the data for online configurator tools.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the communication hub between Space Planning, Engineering, Marketing and CET Developers.
• Prioritize development requests based on business needs.
• Help define guidelines for products and features added to the CET Extension.
• Participate in roadmap planning and continuous improvement of digital tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience with CET Designer, extension usage.
• Experience in the commercial furniture industry, including a deep understanding of workplace design for commercial furniture applications and space utilization.
• Strong understanding of product logic, configurations, and 3D model structures.
• Solid communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to create compelling CET layouts and visualizations for marketing and sales.
• Experience training or mentoring others on CET Designer is an asset.
• Experience working for AutoCAD files is an asset.
