Overview
Position: Sourcing Manager
Reports to: Senior Sourcing Manager
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract with possibility of extension
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, quality improvements, and service enhancements
- Lead supplier negotiations across key spend categories while ensuring alignment with company objectives and internal policies
- Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure service, quality, and performance expectations are achieved
- Analyze supplier capabilities, proposals, financials, and market conditions to support strategic sourcing decisions
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Quality, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to support business requirements
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, continuous improvement, and innovation within sourcing practices
- Monitor market trends, supplier risks, and industry developments to support procurement planning and risk mitigation
- Support contract development and supplier agreement management activities
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical sourcing practices
- Assist with KPI tracking, supplier performance monitoring, and sourcing analytics initiatives
Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field
- 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, preferably within food and beverage manufacturing or food commodities
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements and supplier service‑level expectations across multiple spend categories
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem‑solving capabilities with the ability to interpret data and support decision‑making
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience managing complex spreadsheets and quantitative analysis
- Robust communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities within a fast‑paced workplace
- ERP/procurement systems experience considered an asset
- Dairy industry and/or global procurement exposure considered an asset
