Job Title: Plant Manufacturing Manager
Location: 25 Rakely Ct, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5G2
Responsibilities Overall accountability for the manufacturing plant to deliver on the annual operating plan, including safety, operating costs, quality, material yields, capital projects and organizational development.
Manage overall operation of the plant to meet the quantitative and qualitative measures outlined in the operating plan: production scheduling, standard costs, cost reductions, productivity, continuous improvement, sanitation, consumer satisfaction and capital/technology improvements.
Provide leadership to plant management staff by hiring, reviewing performance, coaching, training, development and work direction.
Maintain a safe work environment by applying corporate health & safety programs, investigating incidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions, and updating safety programs such as STOP, Safestart, Peer to Peer, internal audits and ergonomic assessments.
Promote excellence in all manufacturing practices to support optimal quality, yield, and cost containment, minimize rework or downgrades, and monitor and communicate performance continuously.
Support the development, implementation and continuation of all quality assurance programs, including PQMS, HACCP and GMP, and participate in record and on‑site verification and annual program reviews.
Coordinate with other functions (Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Finance) to maximize overall effectiveness and efficiency.
Provide regular financial and productivity reviews with corporate, local finance, management team and plant employees, and conduct plant‑wide quarterly communications.
Qualifications University degree in Engineering, Science or MBA.
5–10 years of experience in a dairy or food processing or manufacturing workplace, including production planning, inventory control, quality and continuous improvement.
Experience in financial measurement of plant performance and with union management relations.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of regulatory codes and regulations (HACCP, Health and Safety, CFIA, TSSA), food industry and food science.
Strong organizational, analytical, presentation skills and problem‑solving ability.
Proficiency with standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and business systems such as SAP.
Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional team environment.
Bilingual is preferred (a must for Quebec locations).

Compensation Base salary range $111,400–$139,200+. Actual base salary will be fair, competitive and based on skills, experience and qualifications.
