Subcontracts Manager

• 4–8 years of experience in subcontracts, procurement, supply chain and contract administration, or supplier relationship management
• Contracts experience within technical, manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defense, marine, or other complex product environment
• Experience managing the full subcontract lifecycle, including RFP development, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, award, and ongoing supplier performance management
• Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement processes, and subcontract administration
• Proven experience managing supplier performance against cost, schedule, quality, technical, and contractual requirements.
• Experience working with OEMs, manufacturing suppliers, field service organizations, or other technically focused suppliers
• Ability to understand and communicate technical requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations with both suppliers and internal stakeholders

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Subcontracts Manager for a large naval/marine client located in Victoria, BC. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end subcontracting process, from RFP development and supplier evaluation through contract execution, performance management, and delivery oversight.

This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a complex stakeholder environment, enjoys working closely with suppliers and technical teams, and has a strong ability to balance cost, schedule, quality, and contractual requirements. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between internal project teams and external suppliers, ensuring successful delivery of critical products and services. Experience working within complex organizations is necessary - preference to those that have worked in defense, aviation, oil & gas, medical, etc

This is an 18-month contract opportunity with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.
