Claims Supervisor – Commercial Auto, Property & General Liability – Toronto

Poised for aggressive growth, there has never been a better time to be part of the Gallagher Bassett Canada team. This is a full‑time, in‑office opening for a Claims Supervisor.

We lead by empathy, precision, and partnership. Whether you are managing claims, supporting clients, or improving processes, you will help businesses and individuals move forward with confidence.

Responsibilities

As Claims Supervisor you will:

  • Lead a team of adjusters and administrative/technical support staff.
  • Drive adjuster hiring and development, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop direct reports through team‑goal setting and workload balancing.
  • Continuously improve team efficiency and quality using Gallagher technology.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, and brokers.
  • Manage multiple priorities, recognize coaching opportunities, and position team members for success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 7 years related claims experience. CIP or partial completion preferred.
  • Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all provinces where claims are handled, or able to obtain required licenses.
  • Knowledge of all team‑member related functions.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong coaching abilities: reviewing work, identifying coaching opportunities, and supporting subordinates’ development.
