CIBC Director of Indigenous Trust Investments

Take charge of Indigenous Trust investment oversight as the Director at CIBC Private Wealth Management. Ensure fiduciary compliance and lead strategic investment discussions. The Director within CIBC’s Trust Investment Management & Oversight unit plays a critical role in managing investment oversight for Indigenous Trusts. You’ll be responsible for conducting due diligence, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, and negotiating investment policies. This position involves leading quarterly reviews to maintain adherence to fiduciary responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all investment oversight activities for Indigenous clients
- Conduct thorough client due diligence as needed
- Align investment policies with trust regulations
- Facilitate investment discussions and propose effective solutions
- Lead quarterly account reviews to ensure compliance
- Business or Finance degree required
- CFA designation essential
- 10+ years in investment management experience
- Proficiency in trust law and compliance regulations
- Connection with Indigenous communities is a plus
