Role: Application Release Engineer
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite)
Duration: Contract
Experience: 8+ Years
Must-Have Skills
- Azure Cloud & DevOps (CI/CD)
- Experience deploying, configuring, and managing applications on Linux, AIX, and Windows Server environments
- Hands‑on experience with JBoss, Spring Boot, WebSphere/IHS, Apache, and Tomcat
Preferred Skills
- Linux/Unix Administration
- Python, Shell, or PowerShell Scripting
- Kubernetes, GCP, Docker, Terraform
- Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
- Node.js, OpenStack, Cloudify
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end application deployments across multiple environments
- Deploy and support applications on Azure Cloud and enterprise infrastructure
- Design, build, and maintain deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Manage application releases across Linux, Unix, AIX, and Windows platforms
- Support cloud-native and microservices-based applications
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and automation solutions
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure smooth releases
Required Experience
- Strong experience with Azure Cloud and DevOps practices
- Expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, and XLR/XLD
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized environments
- Solid troubleshooting, change management, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile environments
Education: College/University Degree or equivalent experience.
