Buyer (Reagents/Chemicals) – Oakville, Ontario, Canada (Onsite) – $75,000–$85,000 CAD per year Are you a detail-driven Buyer who enjoys owning hardware purchasing decisions in a fast-moving environment? Join an innovative biotech organization where your procurement expertise directly supports the development and manufacturing of regulated diagnostic hardware that impacts real-time patient care.
2+ years of experience in purchasing, buying, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing or regulated environment
- Chemicals / reagent purchasing experience is required, including components, instruments, or mechanical/electrical assemblies
- Strong understanding of sourcing, cost drivers, lead times, and supplier negotiations
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (MISys or similar) and working with structured master data
Own end-to-end procurement for hardware-related categories, managing requisitions, POs, delivery, and receipt to support R&D and manufacturing
Source and negotiate with suppliers to optimize cost, lead time, and quality while meeting GMP and ISO 9001 compliance requirements
Maintain accurate ERP/MRP master data (items, BOMs, suppliers) and support inventory, receiving, and reconciliation activities
Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance KPIs, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
Gain hands-on exposure to regulated (GMP, ISO 9001) manufacturing in a growth-stage biotech environment
