Chief Technology Officer -Start Up

NuBinary is a fractional-CTO service and software development consulting firm working with startups in various stages, MVP development, scaling, team building and more. We work with a diverse range of clients in areas such as IOT, Smart Connected Devices, AI, Machine Learning, MedTech, Smart Manufacturing, Home Automation and more.

Through our fractional CTO services, we help startups minimize their risk and cost while maximizing their value proposition by sharing with them years of entrepreneurship and tech leadership experience from our team. We provide end-to-end product development services including web/cloud, mobile, hardware and firmware development. We offer a wide range of services that cater to their unique needs, such as MVP development, hiring, and expert guidance on critical areas such as digital transformation, cybersecurity, and more. As we continue to grow, we are in search of an experienced Fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a focus on AI. This is an opportunity to engage with the vibrant startup ecosystem of the Toronto-Waterloo corridor and potentially take on the CTO role in different startups. This contractual role carries the potential for transitioning to a full-time position in the future. The position is immediately available for candidates located anywhere in Canada, with a preference for individuals with prior consulting or contractual experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in AI-focused projects, including but not limited to Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, etc.

Experience leading or managing technical teams in AI-centric startups.

Demonstrable experience with AI/ML models development, deployment, and management.

Expertise in AI project scoping, cost estimation, and product road mapping.

Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms and software architecture design patterns.

Proficiency in AI-focused development and deployment in cloud infrastructure.

Familiarity with Agile Project Management and Lean Startup methodologies within the context of AI projects.

D. degree in AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Previous experience as a technical co-founder of an AI-based startup.

Software development consulting or freelance experience with AI-focused startups.

JOB TYPE : Contract

Hourly Rate: 120 - 170 CAD
