Staff Accountant (External Auditor)

Job Responsibility:

Operations Accountant Tourmaline is Canada's largest natural gas producer focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production, and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. We are currently looking for an Operations Accountant to join our Calgary office. Reporting to the Manager, Operations Accounting, the successful candidate will be responsible for, or assist with, the following: RESPONSIBILITIES

Process, manage and analyze monthly midstream invoices

Preparation and analysis of monthly accruals for specific operating expenses and income

Monthly reclass of capital and processing overheads

Operating expense adjusting entries from the field as required

Liaise with other accounting groups to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Respond to inquiries from other departments by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting

operational and financial data

Perform variance analysis and account reconciliations

Assist with requests from external auditors

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years of operations accounting experience is required

Positive attitude, ability to clearly communicate and a willingness to learn

Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work individually and in a team setting

Strong work ethic and ability to take pride and ownership of work

Strong attention to detail and highly organized

An appreciation for tight deadlines

Experience with Microsoft D365, Open Invoice and Energylink an asset, not required

Proficient with Microsoft products
