COMPTABLE CONTRÔLE DE GESTION - Finance / Gestion / Comptabilité

Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking an individual to fill an Accountant position in our Calgary, AB location. This role is part of our Transportation division and reports to the Manager, Accounting. The accountant will partner with internal departments and branches across Canada to provide full-cycle accounting support and analysis. The role is hands-on support of the accounting function as well as Operations.

Reconcile GL accounts and prepare month end journal entries with supporting documentation

Reconcile bank accounts and balancing transactions on a daily and weekly basis

Work with different divisions for intercompany processing and reconciliation

Explain accounting reports and processes to internal stakeholders, partnering with operations to resolve any outstanding accounting issues

Possess a strong understanding of internal controls, their purpose and design

Implement and monitor accounting procedures and policies at both an operational and corporate level

Assist in continuous process improvement and ad-hoc projects

#Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with drive for continuous improvement

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required, enrolled in CPA program preferred

• 5+ years’ experience in an accounting role
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Office proficiency
• Dealership and/or Industry experience is considered an asset
