Status: 1 Regular Full Time Position
Hourly Rate: $38.12/hour to $39.96/hour (plus an additional $4.00 hourly premium for 310S and 310T license holders)
Location and Work Mode: Onsite at 2 Copper Road Brampton
CUPE LOCAL 966 - Public Works
Reporting to the Foreperson Fleet Services you will perform repairs and maintenanceof regional cars dump trucks snow clearing and construction equipment and small engines and ambulances.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and annual safety inspections as required.
Order and receive replacement or repair parts as directed and keep stock area in neat and tidy condition.
Supply and use own hand tools to carry out maintenance and repair duties.
Accurately complete forms reports and input/retrieve information into Fleet Management System.
Attend training courses as required.
Must be able to read write and understand English.
Experience preferably in Fleet Maintenance environment dealing with a variety of light and heavy vehicles and up to date on automotive electronics.
Experience with diagnostic equipment ie: scanners digital meters tire balancers brake lathes and AC filling and testing equipment.
A satisfactory Level 1 Criminal Record Check obtained directly from a police station (third-party background checks will not be accepted)
Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are currently in the bargaining unit

Waste Collection in Mississauga Brampton and Caledon would also transfer to the cities of Mississauga Brampton and the Town of Caledon on October 1 2027. Peel Region will continue to manage Community Recycling Centres (CRC) along with transfer processing and disposal services.
