Title: Freight Broker
Shift: 8:30am- 5:00pm
Shifts available: Monday to Friday
Our client is a fast-growing logistics and transportation company located in Mississauga. They are looking to add a Freight Broker who can manage and coordinate shipments while supporting daily brokerage operations in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and previous freight or logistics experience.
Book and coordinate freight shipments with carriers across North America
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time performance
- Communicate shipment updates, delays, and resolutions to customers
- Process shipping documentation including rate confirmations and bills of lading
- Source available carriers for both dedicated and spot freight
- Resolve shipment issues and provide timely solutions to customers and carriers
- Maintain accurate records of loads, pricing, and carrier performance
- Previous experience as a Freight Broker required
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and transportation systems (TMS an asset)
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain considered an asset
