Job Responsibility:
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver and Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires an understanding of commercial driving, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. The Driver will also be expected to operate forklifts and handle freight, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport building materials to the customer's address or job site using a company truck
- Loading truck according to safety specifications
- Assist with off-loading as required
- Perform daily safety check
Warehouse Labourer Responsibilities:
- Help with order picking and loading customers' vehicles
- Keep yard and warehouse organized
- Restock shelves
- Receive and put away deliveries
- Keep pallets and dunnage organized
- Sweep floors, and dispose of garbage
- Product assembly (wheelbarrows, etc.)
- Grass cutting and weed trimming around the facility
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years experience driving a similar vehicle
- At least a valid G License with clean abstract
- A forklift license is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Safety conscious
- Attention to detail
- Excellent customer service focus
- Reliable, punctual, good work ethic
