Maxim Truck and Trailer

Maxim is currently seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator for our head office in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will process payroll and related administration for all Maxim branches, provide information and guidance on related legislation, and process various insurance applications and claims.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Prepare payroll by sorting and coding payroll forms from branches in multiple provinces

Verify and fix any errors that may be found after proofing

Create journal entries and posts entries in the general ledger

Maintain all employee payroll/files and ensure items are filed accordingly

Respond to internal and external inquiries concerning payroll, employment standards, reference letters requested, staff files, etc.

2+ years payroll administration, Payworks preferred

  • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, and data entry
  • Experience with Karmak is an asset, ability to learn internal programs required
  • Basic accounting knowledge (debits/credits)
  • A competitive salary
