Senior Mechanical Engineer – Lead Innovative Automation Projects with World Class Brands
We’re hiring a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of custom, high-speed automation systems. This role is ideal for an experienced mechanical engineer with a passion for innovation, strong leadership skills, and deep technical expertise in machine design. You’ll be responsible for managing design projects from concept through to production, working alongside a team of engineers, manufacturing and procurement. You will be driving creative solutions for complex automation challenges, taking Pack-Smart’s machine design to the next level.
Conceptualize, model, and detail components and assemblies using AutoCAD and 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
Perform engineering calculations (speed, force, torque, temperature, etc.).
Evaluate and optimize existing mechanical systems.
Collaborate in design reviews and cross-functional project planning.
Assist with Drawing file system administration and project documentation.
Liaison between engineering procurement and manufacturing departments.
5+ years of mechanical design experience in automation or machine building.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software; SolidWorks is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of pneumatics, servo motors, and machine shop practices.
