The Opportunity
We're looking for a Service Delivery Engineer & Automation Specialist to join our elite service team.
In this role, you will manage escalated technical support, build and maintain automation through Datto RMM and PIA workflows, assist with onboarding new clients, and ensure delivery of advanced services like SaaS management, IAM, and compliance frameworks.
You will also act as a technical liaison for assigned clients, assisting in ensuring service satisfaction and technical excellence (similar to Technical Account Manager (TAM) responsibilities).

Key Responsibilities
- Handle escalated Tier 2/2.5 tickets (Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Networking, SaaS Apps)
- Build, customize, and maintain Datto RMM scripts (PowerShell preferred)
- Create automation workflows in PIA (PowerShell & Graph API) to eliminate repetitive tasks
- Assist in client onboarding projects (MFA rollout, SaaS Monitoring, IAM policy enforcement)
- Maintain Datto SaaS Protection setups for Microsoft 365 backup
- Run vulnerability scans using VulScan and generate client security reports
- Participate in service improvement projects and tool integrations
- Act as a technical point-of-contact for assigned clients, assisting with proactive service delivery (TAM responsibilities)
- Maintain and update client-specific documentation (IT Glue or equivalent)
- Collaborate with Account Management to ensure smooth onboarding and technical success
Requirements
- 2+ years working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment (required)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online
- Experience with Datto RMM scripting (PowerShell, scripting templates)
- Familiarity with process automation (PIA, Autotask Workflow, PSA automation tools)
- Basic understanding of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Identity Management
- Experience with vulnerability management tools (bonus if VulScan experience)
- Familiarity with Datto SaaS Protection (or equivalent M365 backup platforms)
- Excellent documentation habits (IT Glue or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills both technical and customer-facing
- Ability to manage technical deliverables across multiple clients proactively
- The role requires the use of a personal vehicle for travel between client and worksites. Candidates must have reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license
Nice to Haves
- Light API scripting or custom reporting automation experience
- Compliance Manager (GRC) experience
- Interest in cybersecurity, governance, and compliance services
- Client-facing project deployment experience (small to mid-sized IT projects)
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $78,000-$83,000 CAD/year
