Our company is looking for a Senior Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Regular corresponding and meeting with clients to help them make sound financial decisions;
  • Providing accounting and tax guidance to other team members;
  • Participating in weekly firm management meetings;
  • Promotes the firm’s Quality Control Standards;
  • Reviewing corporate, trust, and personal engagement work prepared by other team members;
  • Managing teams and prioritizing daily tasks and deadlines;
  • Actively supports and participates in firm-wide initiatives;
  • Coordinating and managing projects to improve client service and firm efficiency;
  • Participates in the firm’s Team Development and Performance Management Program;
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining all aspects of client services;
  • Assisting the partners with business development including client onboarding and firm presentations;
  • Demonstrates an ability to lead and manage multiple engagements;
  • Manages aspects of production and client billing;
  • Actively leads and develops work teams to successfully meet and exceed a varying range of client needs and expectations;
  • Coordinating the preparation of client engagements including the review of corporate, trust and personal engagement work prepared by junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Strong judgement and problem solving ability by thinking ahead, anticipating questions, finding alternative solutions and identifying clear objectives;
  • Accounting designation (CA) with a minimum of 5 years post- designation as a Senior Manager in Public Practice;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a coaching or mentoring capacity to other team members;
  • Strong people management skills with a proven ability to motivate and drive a team to deliver their goals;
  • Proven success in developing strong client relationships and acting in an advisory role for clients;
  • Significant audit and assurance experience with Canadian and/or US GAAP related to public company reporting;
  • Experience in delivery of quality client service;
  • Experience in the planning, execution and review of Review and Audit Engagements;
  • Driver’s license for transportation;
  • Adaptability, accuracy, good multitasking skills;
  • Good scheduling skills;
  • Willingness to coach and mentor junior staff, including staff appraisals and evaluations;
  • Good interviewing skills;
  • Ability to manage and anticipate client needs, including budgeting, staff assignments and scheduling;
  • Ability to manage a block of client accounts.
