Senior Software Development Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Software Development Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Role will report to the VP of Embedded and manage multiple team leads on a day-to-day basis;
- Ensure we are maturing our product and team development policies in a pragmatic and thoughtful way;
- Apply a principled agile software development methodology to the embedded department focusing on the lifecycle of a firmware “project”
- Drive the firmware team culture via mentorship activities, identifying areas of improvement as needed and providing opportunities for growth;
- Forecast and manage team resourcing;
- Participate in various cross-functional meetings, removing roadblocks for team members as required.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of management experience in software development;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Graduate degree/diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or any other related field;
- Highly organized, task-oriented, solution-driven with a strong team orientation;
- 5+ years developing software in an agile environment;
- Experience with Jira preferred.
