Chef de Partie/1st cook Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Chef de Partie/1st cook to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces);
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies;
- Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions;
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances;
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes;
- Work independently with minor supervision;
- Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours;
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently;
- Prepare and plan Menu for the day;
- Perform all duties as assigned in a timely fashion;
- Follow standard recipes and special diet orders.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Excellent understanding of various kitchen equipment, ingredients and cooking techniques;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook.
