Our company is looking for a Chef de Partie/1st cook to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces);
  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies;
  • Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions;
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances;
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes;
  • Work independently with minor supervision;
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours;
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently;
  • Prepare and plan Menu for the day;
  • Perform all duties as assigned in a timely fashion;
  • Follow standard recipes and special diet orders.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent understanding of various kitchen equipment, ingredients and cooking techniques;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook.
