The Reception & Office Assistant provides essential administrative and financial support to ensure smooth surgical operations.
Location: Lorimer Blvd, Winnipeg, MB
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am -2:30pm
Pay Rate : $22/hr
Reports To: Manager of Clinical Operations
Key Responsibilities
Patient Intake & Reception
- Greet patients upon arrival and ensure a professional front-desk experience
- Verify identification and update demographic information
- Ensure all surgical intake forms are completed and properly filed
Billing & Payments
- Process payments for private surgical services
- Assist with billing for insured/provincial services
- Reconcile daily transactions and issue official receipts
EMR & Scheduling
- Maintain and update surgical schedules in the EMR system
- Ensure patient files include referrals and pre-operative documentation
Records Management
- Scan, upload, and organize medical documents accurately
- Ensure timely access to patient records for clinical staff
Office Coordination
- Maintain a clean, organized reception area
- Support the Manager of Clinical Operations with administrative tasks and documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a medical office or administrative role
- Experience with EMR systems (Accuro preferred)
- Knowledge of medical billing and POS transactions considered an asset
- Strong Microsoft Office skills

Availability:
- Must be available for an 08:00 AM start to support morning surgical intake
