Compliance Administrative Assistant

Job Responsibility:
Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Compliance Administrative Assistant to support our Information Technology and Security teams in ensuring the organization complies with relevant IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. This role will involve assisting with audits, tracking compliance activities, maintaining documentation, and supporting ongoing governance efforts across the IT landscape.
Duties
- Assist in monitoring compliance with internal IT policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Help prepare for and support internal and external IT/security audits, including gathering evidence and documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date compliance documentation, such as risk assessments, control logs, and audit trails.
- Track and follow up on remediation tasks resulting from security assessments or audits.
- Support third-party risk management by helping assess vendor compliance and data protection practices.
- Assist in monitoring and updating IT compliance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Coordinate training and awareness initiatives related to security and compliance.
- Collaborate all departments to support cross-functional compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary education in related field or 3+ years of related experience.
- Familiarity with common compliance frameworks and regulations an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or compliance tools an asset.
