Bartender

OVERVIEW

As a Bartender, you are the host of the bar experience. You combine technical excellence with genuine hospitality to create experiences that are welcoming, engaging, and distinctly Published. Every cocktail, recommendation, and interaction reflects your attention to detail, product knowledge, and care for the guest.

You don't simply make drinks—you create moments of connection. Through exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful conversation, and an understanding of each guest's preferences, you help transform the bar into a place people remember long after they leave.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

GUEST EXPERIENCE & HOSPITALITY

• Host every guest at the bar with warmth, confidence, and genuine hospitality.
• Create personalized experiences through conversation, attentiveness, and thoughtful recommendations.
• Build lasting relationships by recognizing guest preferences and creating memorable moments.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond with professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care.
• Contribute to an atmosphere that is welcoming, engaging, and reflective of the Published experience.

BEVERAGE PROGRAM & CRAFT

• Execute cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency, precision, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the cocktail program, spirits, wine, beer, ingredients, and seasonal offerings.
• Confidently guide guests toward beverages that complement their preferences and dining experience.
• Participate in menu development, tastings, education sessions, and ongoing refinement of the beverage program.
• Demonstrate pride in craftsmanship while protecting the integrity and consistency of every drink served.

SERVICE & OPERATIONS

• Maintain a clean, organized, and consistently service-ready bar environment.
• Manage bar mise en place, inventory, garnishes, batching, and preparation with discipline and attention to detail.
• Complete opening, closing, inventory, and operational responsibilities with consistency and professionalism.
• Communicate proactively with servers, kitchen, leadership, and teammates to ensure seamless service.
• Support the broader restaurant wherever needed, recognizing that exceptional hospitality is always a team effort.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 3 years of relevant hospitality experience in a high end environment with a love of food, wine and cocktails and a desire to continue to grow and learn in an ever changing environment.

• Serving it Right Certification
  WSET level 1
  WSET level 2 or 3 is an asset for this position. 
  Weekend and evening availability is a must.
  Must be able to safely lift 25 lbs.
