Aeolus Staffing is hiring for one of our cleints who is a dynamic and rapidly growing logistics and freight forwarding company dedicated to providing comprehensive global transportation solutions. We pride ourselves on our commitment to customer service, operational excellence, and innovation. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join the team and focus primarily on ocean freight operations .
Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator - Ocean Freight will be responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end ocean freight logistics process. This role includes booking shipments, ensuring timely documentation, monitoring cargo movement, and maintaining effective communication with carriers, customers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international shipping, excellent organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate full-cycle ocean freight shipments (FCL and LCL) from origin to destination.
- Book ocean freight with carriers and prepare shipping instructions.
- Track and trace shipments, proactively addressing any delays or issues.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and documentation requirements (e.g., B/L, ISF, AES filings).
- Liaise with customs brokers, warehouses, trucking companies, and overseas agents.
- Communicate shipping updates to customers and internal teams in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all ocean freight transactions in internal systems.
- Monitor freight costs and work to optimize shipping efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Support month-end billing and invoicing processes.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding with a focus on ocean freight.
- Strong knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, and ocean freight documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g., Cargowise, SAP, or similar).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with import/export compliance.
- Familiarity with customs clearance procedures.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
