POSITION OVERVIEW 
The Customs & Logistics Coordinator will support the company’s customs compliance, cross border logistics and purchasing activities , with a p rimary focus on accurate customs classification and product data . Responsibilities will include researching and maintaining HS classifications, supporting Canada and U.S. shipments, coordinating with customs brokers, maintaining trade related documentation, and assisting with broader logistics and purchasing requirements.

What You'll Be Doing: 

• Maintain and improve customs and product data , including HS codes, country of origin, material information, weights, tariff details and supporting records 
• Research and determine HS classifications for new and existing parts, gathering technical information and partnering with internal teams or customs brokers when additional validation is needed 
• Support Canada and U.S. cross border shipments by preparing, reviewing and validating customs and export documentation, including commercial invoices, certificates and related shipment information 
• Work directly with customs brokers to resolve classification, documentation, tariff and border related questions 
• Support CUSMA and other trade compliance requirements , including country of origin and supplier or product information needed for qualification and documentation 
• Complete hands on product verification when needed by identifying, inspecting, weighing or measuring parts to confirm accurate customs and product information 
• Maintain accurate records in Excel and the ERP system and contribute to ongoing product data cleanup and classification projects 
• Provide backup support for outbound logistics , helping coordinate shipments and ensure the correct customs information is available when needed 
• Support straightforward purchasing activities such as creating purchase orders, following up on assigned items and helping the team manage day to day supply needs 

What You'll Need:

• 2+ years of relevant professional experience in customs, import/export, trade compliance, logistics or supply chain coordination
• Either direct hands on customs/HS classification experience OR recent logistics/supply chain experience within an industrial manufacturing environment with meaningful customs and cross border exposure
• Experience supporting Canada and U.S. shipments and working with customs brokers, commercial documentation, country of origin, tariffs or related compliance requirements
• For broader logistics candidates, experience with machinery, equipment, technical components, fabricated parts, steel, aluminum or similar manufactured goods is strongly preferred
• Strong Excel and ERP comfort with the ability to manage detailed product, inventory or customs data accurately
• Strong attention to detail, organization and follow through , along with the communication skills to work effectively with logistics, purchasing, engineering, warehouse and external broker contacts
• Comfort working in both an office and warehouse environment when product inspection, identification, weighing or measurement is required
• Customs, trade compliance or supply chain education/certification and experience with CUSMA, steel/aluminum tariffs or technical product classification are strong assets
