The core responsibilities of the North American Logistics Coordinator are to prepare and coordinate FTL, LTL, inbound and outbound freight for shipments throughout North America.

Position Responsibilities

Traffic Coordination of FTL/LTL Shipments

·         Complete traffic coordination duties for domestic traffic

·         Ensure all product is delivered on time and in a good manner

·         Update customers on timelines as needed

·         Handle customer inquiries

·         Track inventory and make adjustments as needed

·         Connect with third party suppliers to move product

·         Send shipping instructions to freight carriers and suppliers

·         Ensure information is entered in to ERP system

·         Receive invoice from suppliers in ERP system

·         Liaise with trucking companies to ensure they are meeting pick up and delivery timelines

·         Invoice customers within 24 hours of shipment being delivered

·         Maintain relationships with trucking companies and brokers; receive clean bills of lading

·         Follow-up with trucking companies or customers to ensure product is received at the destination

·         Assist with troubleshooting issues as required

·         Be available after hours (cell phone on at all times)

·         Negotiate rates as required

·         Track shipments from previous night and ensure they are on time for delivery appointments

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field

·         At least 3 years of experience with cross border logistics

·         Strong knowledge of shipping processes

·         Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
