Summer Student Social Media Content Creator

Overview
We're looking for a talented and creative content creator to join our team for the summer. This role is perfect for someone with a strong eye for social media trends, who's confident creating video content and managing daily posting across Instagram and TikTok. You'll help bring our events to life through Instagram and TikTok daily, support our visual storytelling, and help supervise markets on weekends. You'll work closely with our project lead and marketing team to keep our content consistent, engaging, and on-brand.
Responsibilities
- Create Instagram Reels and TikToks using event footage and trend-based content
- Manage and organize all video content for multiple brand accounts
- Stay current with TikTok and Instagram trends to guide creative direction
- Support our team with content planning and visual strategy
- Attend and supervise outdoor markets on Saturdays and Sundays in July & August
- Assist with video editing and light graphic creation, as needed
- Take initiative in suggesting creative content ideas and collaborating with the marketing team
- Take feedback well and be open to evolving your creative work
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a car
- Must have completed high school (post-secondary students encouraged to apply)
- Must be able to work in-person at designated desk at 10C coworking space
- Must be available to travel to event locations in Southern Ontario during weekends (July & August)
- Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok content trends
- Comfortable using video editing software of your choice (CapCut, iMovie, Premiere Pro, etc.)
- Must have your own laptop and phone (laptop available if necessary)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and an eye for visual storytelling
- Previous experience in social media content creation or video/photo editing is an asset
- A strong social media presence is a bonus but not required
- Bonus: Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
