Council of Yukon First Nations
The Council of Yukon First Nation’s Case Workers will be responsible for providing culturally appropriate and holistic services in areas of child protection, family services, and children in care. The incumbents will act as a resource person, navigator, advocate and support person to preserve the family.
CYFN is currently accepting applications for vari ous Case Worker positions:
- Family Preservation Case Workers: Will work in collaboration with Yukon First Nation Governments and Yukon Government’s Family and Children’s Services to support First Nations Families at risk and ensure that family, community and cultural connections for Yukon First Nations children in care are preserved and strengthened.
- Post Majority Supports Case Workers: Will be responsible for providing culturally appropriate and holistic services and supports for youth and young adults from the age of nineteen to twenty-six to equip youth to be successful in aging out of care and gaining the life skills needed to transition into adulthood.
- Pre-Natal Case Workers: Will support women and families to access medical, social and community resources for a healthy pregnancy and birth.

Screening Criteria: Post-secondary education in social work, social sciences or relevant field and/or equivalency obtained through coursework and/or experience. A minimum of two years’ experience working in a social service agency, with responsibilities related to child welfare. Experience working in a First Nations organization, preferably Yukon First Nations.
Salary: Level 9 : $88,404.73 - $110,541.13
