Staff Card Fraud Strategy Lead

As a Staff individual contributor, you will own application, transaction, and account takeover fraud strategy across card products. You will work independently with manager-level impact, guiding data scientists and analytics developers through expertise and influence. The role balances fraud losses, operational costs, and client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own fraud strategy across Wealthsimple card products
• Manage card fraud loss budgets as volumes grow
• Design, backtest, ship, and tune detection rules
• Set thresholds for machine learning risk scores
• Partner with Product and Engineering on fraud controls

Requirements:

• 6+ years of fraud prevention experience
• 3+ years directly working on card fraud
• Advanced SQL for transaction-level data
• Experience building and tuning fraud rules
• Ability to influence without direct authority
