What you will be doing
Reporting to the Regional Director of Warehousing Solutions, the Procurement and Facilities Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling purchasing activities. This role ensures the job materials and supplies are procured in an efficient, economical, and timely manner that meets the requirements of both internal and external clients. In addition, the Procurement and Facilities Manager oversees the vendor process from requisition to relationship management with organization objectives. This role will also be responsible for the facilities maintenance, safety, and security. You will be contributing to that vision by
· Overseeing the maintenance and functionality of Ontario warehouse facilities (Mississauga and Kitchener)
· Managing and tracking preventive maintenance and repairs for facility and equipment including HVAC, office cleaning, fire alarm and fire suppression systems, security alarm, etc.
· Overseeing all facility contracts and manage facility and vendor relationships
· Compile and maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) records for office, warehouse, and build sites
· Maintaining inventory of keys (office, warehouse)
· Receiving, processing, and maintaining warehouse stock/inventory products
· Being responsible for forklift management, maintenance, tracking and documentation
· Maintaining safe and clean warehouse/ work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
· Managing the warehouse inventory control process for keeping accurate records and quality standards for reorders and audit including managing the physical inventory counts (as required)
· Being responsible for ensuring purchases stay within the budget
· Issuing and managing purchase orders for materials, supplies, equipment, and services to ensure smooth operation of the organization
· Negotiating price, terms, conditions, and contracts with vendors
· Sourcing new and existing products, sub-contractors and vendors as required
· Managing external vendors for new building projects timelines internally and with the sub-contractor/vendor
· Monitoring supplier cost/quality and delivery performance and drive actions for improvement where necessary
· Acting as liaison between suppliers and internal departments and external parties
· Working with all internal departments for needed documentation of purchases, deliveries, and purchase orders

What skills & experience you will bring to us
· High school diploma, GED or equivalent
· Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between facilities (current: Kitchener and Mississauga); mileage reimbursed as per CRA guidelines.
· Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
· Knowledge of basic facility management
· Proficient in Microsoft Office & data entry with good numeric skills
· Advanced troubleshooting and multitasking skills
· Able to work independently or as part of a team
· Superior organization skills
· Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives
· Excellent communication skills
· Able to plan and prioritize effectively and proactively
· Able to make decisions independently in a creative and effective manner
· Able to work additional hours as required based on operational need
What are some key figures for the role

· You will receive a permanent full-time contract with a 40-hour work week
· You must have access to a vehicle. Parking is available on premises, and we provide standard mileage reimbursement
· You will need to travel to both our Mississauga and Kitchener locations
· You will have 15 vacation days per year
