Sr. Procurement Analyst

Located in Mississauga, Ontario , Celtrade is a leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality private label food products distributed across Canada , the USA , and South America . We are seeking a highly driven, self-starting individual with prior experience in food manufacturing , consumer care products , or batch processing industries to join our growing team.

Position Summary

The Senior Procurement Analyst plays a critical role in managing the end-to-end procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of materials required for production. This position is responsible for analyzing material requirements, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and resolving supply chain issues to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

The purpose of this role is to optimize procurement efficiency, improve supplier performance, and align material availability with production demands while maintaining quality standards and cost targets. The Senior Procurement Analyst acts as a key liaison between internal departments and external vendors, ensuring smooth material flow and contributing to overall operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily review of MRP reports to coordinate supply quantities and delivery timing with vendors.
• Address and resolve supplier-related issues, including product quality and delivery delays.
• Proactively manage discrepancies in supplier orders and take corrective actions.
• Ensure timely transfer of goods from 3rd-party warehouses to the main warehouse.
• Review monthly demand forecasts and issue blanket purchase orders for long lead-time items.
• Maintain oversight of supplier inventory and work-in-progress to ensure alignment with production needs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and communicate changes in lead times or costs.
• Collaborate with internal departments to determine material requirements.
• Support the team with related tasks and responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, forecasting, and negotiation skills.
• Experienced in developing and tracking KPIs.
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in reporting and data analysis;
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
• Strong understanding of commodities
• Working knowledge of food industry standards such as HACCP .
• Post-secondary degree in a related field.
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Designation

Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
