Job Description

The OTA/PTA will support the occupational therapist and physiotherapist in the outpatient neurorehabilitation program Step-Up. The assistant will progress patients under the supervision of the therapists.

Qualifications

Halton Healthcare is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.

• Graduate of combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college
• At least one year experience in neurorehabilitation preferred.
• Demonstrated excellent patient care skills with outpatient, neurological, and geriatric caseload
• Shows initiative, flexibility and enjoys working with a multidisciplinary team
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of a moderately heavy job
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Satisfactory attendance and employment record

The ideal candidate has experience working with an outpatient or inpatient neurorehabilitation population and demonstrates skills required to support a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.

Additional Information

Hours:  Monday - Sunday, 7.5 Days (hours subject to change based on operational needs of the department)

Salary: $32.491 to $37.398 per hour
