House assistant/Cook

Housekeeper/Cook Oakville, ON 

Position Overview: 

Seeking an experienced House assistant/Cook for a residence located in Oakville. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence, along with regular dinner preparation. This position is full-time, live-out, Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm with flexibility. 

Candidate Profile: 

You are an experienced and well-rounded housekeeping professional who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You have a strong understanding of household hygiene and cleaning best practices. You have a passion for cooking who is comfortable with meal prep and can follow a recipe. You have a good eye for detail and are comfortable working alone.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Daily housekeeping to include dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, washing floors 
  

• Preparing dinners, prepping groceries.
  

• Maintain household inventory, prepare household inventory checklists
  

• Daily laundry, ironing and steaming
  

• Trash and recycling management 
  

• Running errands, grocery shopping, dry cleaning
  

• Supervising vendors
  

• Other duties as required from time to time 
  

Applicant Qualities: 

• Must have previous experience working in a semi-formal residence 
  

• Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces 
  

• Strong cooking and food preparation skills 
  

• Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercise diplomacy, discretion and respect of boundaries
  

• Applicants must be service oriented with excellent English communication skills 
  

• A valid Full G driver's license and vehicle
  

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
