Civil/Geotechnical Engineer-In-Training Role

Advance your career with Metro Testing & Engineering as a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer-In-Training in Burnaby or Abbotsford, BC. This is an excellent opportunity to work on exciting projects across multiple industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineer-In-Training for our expanding geotechnical department. You will engage in field investigations, material testing, and support a variety of construction challenges. A learning mindset and commitment to teamwork are critical for success in this collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute geotechnical field work and monitor construction
- Perform testing to determine soil and material properties
- Analyze and report on foundation and road structure designs
- Develop professional relationships with clients and staff
- Review and ensure compliance of construction drawings
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or related discipline
- Must be eligible for registration as Engineer-In-Training with EGBC
- Valid Canadian Driver’s License with good standing
- Ability to lift heavy loads and walk far distances
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
