Key responsibilities

• Preparing instructional and testing materials relevant to the course being taught.
• Instructing/teaching/testing.
• Marking/grading of exams and assignments etc.
• Providing constructive feedback to students.
• Maintaining regular office hours.

Qualifications

• Master's degree, Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in the English language is required.
• Background/specialization in subject area required.
• Demonstrated competence in post-secondary teaching required.
• Empathetic approach to the instructional needs and concerns of students is required.
• Previous teaching in the subject area or related area would be an asset.

Additional information

Course is cross-listed with INDG 2264 (Pass/Fail section). This course contains an lab component. The Instructor for this course will also be expected to run the lab associated with this course (INDG 2254 B01 / INDG 2264 B01, Monday 19:00 -19:50), they will be compensated at the current hourly rate, in accordance with the CUPE Unit 2 for these additional hours. Expectations of hours and duties will be discussed by the Department Head (or designate) and Instructor prior to the start date. Class Schedule: Monday 18:00 - 20:50 , with lab component on Monday 19:00 - 19:50. Instructor must be able to demonstrate fluency in Cree language.
