ABOUT THE TEAM
Our Health and Community Services team prepares future professionals to make a real impact. We deliver programs that combine academic excellence with hands-on learning in areas like life sciences, allied health, early childhood education, and community support. Guided by our In Front of What’s Ahead strategy, we foster innovation, inclusivity, and cultural awareness. As part of our team, you will shape curriculum, mentor students, and help graduates serve their communities with skill and compassion, making a lasting difference in the world.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
As an instructor within Health & Community Services, your responsibilities would include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. Examples of subject areas are Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Terminology. The incumbent is also required to participate in department and College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Master’s Degree in Science or Nursing
• Relevant industry and/or teaching experience related to anatomy and physiology or other science focused experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to teach on campus and remotely
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
• Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
• Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
• Experience developing and instructing distance-delivered courses including online
• Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction

• Salary Range for this position:  $35.58 - $55.78 hourly*
• Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
• This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
• Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
• May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
• Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
• Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
