Medical Malpractice Legal Assistant
Behind every strong practice is someone who keeps everything running with care and precision. Our Client is looking for a Medical Malpractice Legal Assistant to support a senior lawyer whose work is both complex and highly respected. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the details while knowing their contributions are seen and valued. You will work closely with one lawyer, building a rhythm and level of trust that makes the day-to-day feel more focused and manageable. With only two days in the office, there is a nice balance of independence and connection. Salary: Up to $75K
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule meetings, discoveries, and court dates for the lawyer.
- File court documents accurately and promptly.
- Correspond with opposing counsel, experts, medical providers, and clients
- Request medical records and other relevant documents for investigation purposes.
- Assist in the creation of PowerPoint presentations for speaking engagements and professional events.
- Book hotels, flights, and other travel arrangements for the lawyer as required.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Legal Assistant or Paralegal program, or undergraduate degree
- 2–5 years of experience in a comparable legal environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Clear and professional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience coordinating travel and managing schedules is an asset.
