Impact

• Lead archaeological field programs under Heritage Inspection, Heritage Investigation, and Site Alteration Permits.
• Oversee research, artifact analysis, and reporting for cultural heritage assessments.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and regulatory agencies.
• Drive business development to expand services across Western Canada.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

What You’ll Bring

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in archaeology and cultural heritage.
• Current permit holder in British Columbia; Field Directors considered.
• Proven ability to lead field programs and complete research projects.
• Strong communication, writing, and computer skills.
• Travel required.
• Valid driver’s license and/or ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Permit holding in other provinces/territories.
• Demonstrated business development experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage archaeological field programs under applicable permits.
• Conduct literature reviews, artifact analysis, and cataloguing.
• Prepare high-quality reports and deliverables for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
• Represent ERM at meetings with provincial, territorial, and federal agencies.
• Support growth of ERM’s archaeology and cultural heritage practice through technical excellence and client engagement.

Compensation

The anticipated annual base pay is $90,719 – $109,970 (CAD) . Pay may vary based on experience. Eligible for bonus pay; note that casual and fixed‑term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible.
