Digital Asset Coordinator / Web Designer

Position Overview
The Digital Asset Coordinator / Web Designer is responsible for maintaining product content and digital assets in Salsify, ensuring each SKU has complete, accurate, properly formatted, and channel-ready information to support online selling.
The primary focus of this role is Salsify content maintenance, digital asset organization, product record accuracy, and e-commerce content readiness. In a secondary capacity, this role supports the Web Design Team Lead with updates and maintenance across Shopify, Webflow, and other company or brand websites.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with product information and imagery, and also has practical web design skills to support website updates, landing pages, digital assets, and basic front-end content needs.
Key Priorities
• Maintain Salsify as the central source of truth for product copy, specifications, imagery, videos, sizing information, selling features, benefits, and supporting digital assets.
• Ensure product records are complete, consistent, accurate, and ready for use across e-commerce channels and retail partner requirements.
• Support website content updates, page layouts, banners, digital graphics, and responsive web assets under the direction of the Web Design Team Lead.
• Help improve workflows, documentation, quality control, and content readiness across digital asset and web production processes.
Core Responsibilities - Salsify and Digital Asset Coordination
• Manage and maintain product-related digital assets within Salsify, including images, videos, product descriptions, selling features, benefits, specifications, sizing information, and supporting content.
• Ensure each SKU has a complete, accurate, properly structured, and consistently formatted product record.
• Aggregate current and future product content and digital assets into the internal product information platform.
• Review product content for accuracy, formatting, consistency, completeness, and channel readiness.
• Link product images, lifestyle images, videos, size guides, detail images, and other digital assets to the correct SKUs.
• Identify missing product copy, images, videos, sizing details, specifications, or other required content and work with internal teams to collect what is needed.
• Coordinate the creation of new digital assets when required, including lifestyle imagery, product detail images, size guides, enhanced content, and other supporting selling materials.
• Quality control digital assets before they are used on company-owned websites, e-commerce platforms, or retail partner sites.
• Support the development of enhanced product content, including Amazon A+ content where required.
• Test product data feeds and exports to ensure they meet the requirements of different e-commerce platforms.
• Monitor product content after launch to ensure assets and information are displaying correctly.
• Maintain workflow systems, documentation, product content rules, formatting standards, and process communication to improve efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
• Support photography coordination when required to meet product launch timelines.
Secondary Responsibilities - Web Design and Website Support
• Assist the Web Design Team Lead with day-to-day updates and maintenance across Shopify, Webflow, corporate, brand, and e-commerce websites.
• Create, update, and maintain web page layouts, landing pages, templates, banners, graphics, and digital content as directed.
• Update website content on a regular schedule, ensuring information, images, links, and layouts remain accurate and current.
• Maintain and optimize website images and digital assets based on customer, retailer, partner, brand, and web performance requirements.
• Create digital assets for websites, email campaigns, social media, web banners, digital ads, online promotions, and related digital marketing needs.
• Support responsive desktop and mobile design by preparing layouts and assets that work effectively across devices.
• Assist with UI/UX concepts, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and visual design concepts for new pages, campaigns, and site updates.
• Test web pages and digital assets for visual accuracy, functionality, mobile responsiveness, browser compatibility, and link accuracy.
• Optimize images, graphics, and page elements for web performance, fast loading, SEO basics, and user experience.
• Troubleshoot basic front-end design and layout issues using HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
• Maintain organized digital files, templates, image libraries, design assets, and working documents.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Strong understanding of e-commerce content standards and digital asset requirements.
• Experience working with product content, digital assets, product information systems, or e-commerce content workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify missing, incomplete, inconsistent, or incorrectly formatted content.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple SKUs, assets, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams, including e-commerce, product, marketing, creative, sales, and web teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, data review, and content management support.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic photo editing and image optimization skills.
• Practical web design or website content update experience.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop or related design tools.
• Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, accessibility best practices, SEO basics, and web performance considerations.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
• Experience using Salsify or another product information management / digital asset management platform.
• Experience with Shopify, Webflow, or similar CMS and e-commerce website platforms.
• Knowledge of e-commerce retailer content requirements.
• Experience with Amazon A+ content or enhanced product content.
• Image retouching, web image optimization, or digital production experience.
• Manual photography coordination or product photography support experience.
• Understanding of database structure, product data organization, and content export processes.
• Experience creating wireframes, mockups, landing pages, banners, email graphics, and digital campaign assets.
Education and Experience
• College diploma or university degree in communications, marketing, design, digital media, e-commerce, web design, or a related field preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in digital asset management, e-commerce content, product data management, web design, digital media, or a related role.
• A portfolio or examples of web design, digital asset production, landing pages, banners, or related digital creative work is considered an asset.
