Associate Veterinarian - Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital (Vancouver)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate General Practice Veterinarian (DVM) to join our team at Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital in Turlock, California. The ideal candidate will provide high‑quality veterinary care and maintain strong communication with clients and staff. Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and medical work‑ups Communicate with and educate clients about patient care Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery as needed Maintain accurate medical records Prescribe medications and follow controlled‐substance protocols Promote teamwork and staff efficiency Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge Attend daily rounds when possible to ensure high standards are upheld Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications (Required)

Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university Current State Veterinary License DEA registration maintained At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent surgical and dental skills Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care Capacity to bind physically demanding work such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Demonstrated clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations Problem‑solving ability for high‑quality hospital management challenges Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff Professionalism and receptiveness to constructive feedback Business acumen with understanding of veterinary hospital finances Knowledge of ethical principles guiding patient care decisions Commitment to continuing education and facilitation of learning for others Compensation and Benefits
